What is Lung Electrical Impedance Tomography?

Lung Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a technique that produces real-time images of a baby's lungs and clinical data showing how well they are functioning. The data is collected using a small, lightweight, comfortable, fabric-based device worn on the baby's chest. The device is non-invasive and does not impede any of the normal practice of clinicians.

Which neoanates are at risk?

Unfortunately most preterm babies (earlier than 37 weeks of gestational age) are susceptible respiratory conditions. Many of these preterm newborns need to be admitted to neonatal intensive care units for respiratory support.

How we can help

We offer bedside respiratory monitoring products designed for premature babies that help doctors to observe lung function in real time, help them to make informed and timely diagnoses and decisions, more efficient interventions and to save more lives.
